G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group holds meeting in Paris

The third G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group Meeting (ACWG) has been held in Paris, primarily focused on the outcomes of the Russian G20 Presidency, as well as key directions of the ACWG work in 2014. Specific issues to be addressed include transparency and beneficial ownership of legal entities, and mapping sectors vulnerable to corruption. The ACWG will also be involved in preparing guidelines on asset recovery and work involving denial of entry.

The meeting of the ACWG concluded with the Australian delegation sharing its forthcoming G20 Presidency’s anti-corruption agenda, including a proposal that the next ACWG meeting be held in Sydney, in February 2014.
