APRA releases results of third stakeholder survey

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has released the results of its third survey of stakeholders, conducted as part of its service charter commitments. The survey reveals little change since the 2009 and 2011 surveys and overall, shows a positive result and ongoing validation of APRA’s prudential framework, its staff and its approach to supervision. The highest scoring items included the demonstration by APRA staff of integrity and professionalism, and the value derived by stakeholders from APRA’s guidance material. The lowest scoring items in the survey were the consideration of costs in relation to changes to APRA’s prudential framework, and the harmonisation of the prudential framework across APRA-regulated industries.
