TR13/7 – Payment protection insurance complaints: report on the fairness of medium-sized firms’ decisions and redress

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a thematic review setting out findings on how some firms have handled payment protection insurance (PPI) complaints. PPI has developed into the biggest issue of financial mis-selling in recent years, significantly damaging public trust in financial institutions. Ensuring the fair handling of PPI complaints is vital to rebuilding public confidence and is a priority for the FCA.
