IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde has delivered a speech on the triple challenge facing the global economy in an address to the United Nations. Ms Lagarde identified three priorities that must be tackled on a collaborative, global scale to achieve sustainable development. Those three priorities included: getting the economic foundations right, getting the pricing for the green economy right, and making growth more equitable. Ms Lagarde concluded her speech by calling for stronger commitment and deeper collaboration while pointing to the UN as a forum to drive action.
